CLAYTON MIDTSEM, AREA DIRECTOR

Prior to coming on staff in November, Clayton worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 36 years. Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Clayton and his wife Cathy relocated to the Rockford area in 1983. Both graduates of Elgin High School, Clayton competed in basketball and golf while Cathy participated in softball and tennis.
In the spring of 2010, Clayton was introduced to Fellowship of Christian Athletes and immediately saw the power of this ministry in reaching coaches and athletes for Christ. He was particularly drawn by the FCA’s high view of scripture and a strong desire to connect athletes with local churches.
Clayton serves as the Northern Illinois Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area Director for Lee, Stephenson, Ogle, Winnebago, Boone, and DeKalb counties. Both Clayton and Cathy have been part of the Red Brick Church in Stillman Valley since 2008.
BRAD VAUDT, AREA REPRESENTATIVE
Brad Vaudt is excited to begin as an Area Representative in Northern Illinois. As a father of five daughters, Brad and Dawn have also been blessed with four incredible sons-in-law and eight precious grandchildren! As an athlete, Brad acquired ten HS Varsity Letters as a four-sport athlete and participated in two college sports, basketball and tennis. He has wide range of knowledge in many sports having been a coach for many camps for HS athletes in baseball/softball, basketball, track, and tennis. He has coached at both the Jr. High and HS level for baseball/softball, basketball, and tennis.
He had great success in athletics and coaching, however, he has shared that as Paul says in Philippians 3:8, 10, "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord," and "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection." and finally vs 14, "But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
